The Sparrow’s Nest Mission is to provide Hope, Help, and Healing to Mothers in Crisis
Here’s a glimpse into how…
HOPE
(Elohim-Chaseddi – the God of my Mercy)
We are a gospel centered home that desires to give mothers hope in the midst of their difficult circumstances. We seek to share Christ’s love with our residents, disciple them into a new life, and walk with them on their journey in motherhood.
HELP
(Jehovah Jireh – the Lord Provides)
We work with residents to practically meet their physical needs. We provide the following to our residents:
- a safe and loving home (each mother receives their own room)
- shared facilities like kitchen, backyard, garden, living room, playroom, laundry room, eductional space, bathrooms
- education on motherhood
- support through delivery and post-partum
- birthing classes
- help with breastfeeding (if desired)
- nutritious meals
- rides to medical appointments
- budget and financial guidance
- connection to utilizing government resources
- ID recovery
- basic life skills training
- clothes for resident and their baby
- the opportunity to earn diapers/wipes for baby
- basic toiletries for resident and baby
- opportunities for job skill development
HEALING
(Jehovah Rapha – The Lord that Heals)
You can’t heal what you don’t acknowledge. We provide residents with the tools to heal from the past while moving toward a better future. Participation in our program will allow our residents to heal through these by giving the following:
- support in overcoming addiction issues
- weekly counseling
- support through important decisions
- a chance to break generational cycles
- accountability to focus on what’s ahead in life
- encouragement throughout our program
- goal setting
